basasa @globalgrande: "For my friend @basasa. Finnish and Norwegian fiddlers FRIGG." / Thanks a lot! I only just saw this, is amazing! (reblip)
basasa I just came across this. I'm still speechless.
basasa :D

Impuls Trio: Fanø Brudestykker

basasa A beautiful Wedding March played by the fiddle trio Fafner.

Wedding March from Dalarna in Sweden

basasa Beautiful! @MZDancer: "Marta Sebestyen sings "love, love"" (reblip)
basasa A friend just showed me this. Apparently, in Brittany, the sax + accordion duet is very common. To me, this sounds both very Celtic and very French :)
basasa What a jewel this is! Wasting time on youtube is not a waste when you come across stuff like this.

basasa An example of the beautiful a capella tradition of "canto cardenche" from northern Mexico. The title means "I'm going away to die in the desert".

Yo ya me voy a morir a los desiertos

basasa Came across this on Reddit yesterday. Apparently, it was written by King Henry VIII.

GRYPHON Gryphon 05 Pastime With Good Company

basasa Kocani Orkestar's Vinko Stefanov, backed by 3 Mexican balkan bands: Nabuzenko, Carlos Marks and Kali Deryav (my band). It was both amazing and scary!

Nabuzenko & Vinko Stefanov (En Vivo @ ¡Festival Balkan!)

basasa @globalgrande Acroding to this, lots of chileans stopped at Acapulco on their way to California during the gold rush.

basasa @globalgrande: "Folk music from the NW of Argentina - Hernan Figueroa Reyes for @basasa" Thanks! I now have the mission to learn about this rhythm :) (reblip)
basasa @globalgrande Not really sure. I'd say it's "son guerrerense". But only because it's from Guerrero and it's 3/4 or 6/8 (or both at the same time!).
basasa @globalgrande Surprisingly similar to this, from Guerrero, at the south coast of Mexico.

basasa Beautiful! @globalgrande: "A medley of lovely Peruvian waltzes" (reblip)

Gesualdo: Ave Dulcissima

basasa Delicious! At first I wasn't sure I liked the bel canto, but it blends organically and beautifully. This made my day.

Isabel Bayrakdarian and the Minasyan Duduk Quartet "Dle Yaman"

basasa This got me all nostalgic :)
