Wyrdbyrd Wow. I never actually hated the original version, but I also never really liked it. This cover makes me pretty happy, maybe it's the guitars.
Wyrdbyrd Just for the MILF line, this song reminds me of the tarot's Empress card.
Wyrdbyrd One of the more obvious knowledge bragging songs I've heard reminds me of the HIgh Priestess card in tarot.

Dirty Vegas I Should Know

Wyrdbyrd To my mind, this version matches the World Spirit Tarot's version of the Magician card.

Lime in the coconut. PM DAWN

Wyrdbyrd At first I considered Maxi Priest's cover of "Wild World" for The Fool in tarot, but that had to do with a break-up. Then I remembered this song.
Wyrdbyrd The chorus reminds me of the Tower card in tarot.

Don´t let it bring you down- by Annie Lennox

Wyrdbyrd I've heard this at a local goth-industrial dance for years, and only just identified the name and artist on my birthday. :)
Wyrdbyrd I got to introduce a few people I met last weekend to this song. hee.
Wyrdbyrd Okay, this is just freaking adorable. That, and after a few sunny days I'm finally recovering from the flu so, of course, it's raining. =/

Sister Rosetta Tharpe Didn't It Rain

Wyrdbyrd I'm not sure, but this may well be the footage used during the video tape escapade in "Amelie".
Wyrdbyrd This song was on my mind a lot yesterday, but I'll be damned if I remember why I didn't post it.
Wyrdbyrd Hrm. This isn't the version I was looking for, but the song is on my mind.
Wyrdbyrd Apparently it's Voltaire doing the vocals on this one.
Wyrdbyrd I remember going to a Play tour concert where Moby offered to show us what he'd learned on guitar, which lead into this.
Wyrdbyrd Philip Marlowe's "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" set as a swing tune in Sir Ian McKellen's treatment of "Richard III". I cannot make this up.
Wyrdbyrd Based on some conversations with friends today.

Alanis Morissette- 21 Things I Want in a Lover

Wyrdbyrd I first heard this song from the season finale of "Awkward Black Girl". I thought the chorus was sweet, but the women as "hos" thing disappoints me.
Wyrdbyrd I was raised during the 80's. Can't you tell? @GAY_AMSTERDAM: "Nu Shooz – I Can't Wait" (reblip)
Wyrdbyrd I've heard an excellent dance re-mix of this song used for a Buck Angel appearance. Alas, the best I could find was this version.
Wyrdbyrd Some friends of mine were about to leave Ecstatic Dance when this came on. Instead, they stopped flat and started dancing in the walkway. It was cute!
